There are a lot of Japanese restaurant ran by Vietnamese in Berlin
but one day, I wanted to eat Japanese food at Japanese restaurant ran by Japanese.
First, My boyfriend tried to book “Sasaya” which is Japanese restaurant.
Unfortunately, it was occupied on Friday evening.
Therefore we decided to eat Smartdeli.
It was my first time to visit Smartdeli.

Smartdeli looked like small supermarket which sells Japanese product.
I thought that it is not real restaurant but supermarket.
And I noticed that there are around five tables for dining in behind the shop.
It was on 2G+ rule in restaurants in Berlin.
You needed to be vaccinated and booster or vaccinated and tested to eat at restaurant on February 2022.
I was expecting a little more expensive to eat Japanese meal at Smartdeli but it was not so expensive there.
Karaage Teishoku costs around 12 euros.
Chirashi Don costs around 13 euros.
Both food we ordered were tasty but they were not so big portions.
We ate Gyoza after those meals.
Japanese rice 5 kg costs 23 euros.
I was not planning to buy anything at Smartdeli.
Anyway we bought Japanese rice “Minori”.
A lot of kinds of Japanese rice exist.
I know “Koshihikari”, “Akitakomachi” and so on but I do not know the kind “Minori”.
It was tasty anyway.
Japanese rice is sweet and soft in my opinion.
Aburaage (frozen) costs 2 euros.
I put Aburaage in Miso soup.
Smartdeli is a nice and real Japanese restaurant in Berlin, Germany.
I would say Smartdeli is good place to eat Japanese food.
