In November 2021, My friend in Japan sent me a gift from Japan.
It took only 5 or 6 days to arrive in Germany from Japan by Japanese post.
I guess that it costs around 5000 yen which is around 40 euro for 2 kg.
Thanks to my friend, she sent me a lot of great Japanese stuff.
Seasoning for Japanese food
1.Dashi (picture: right bottom)
Dashi is fish flavored powder and it is the basic taste of Japanese food.
Dashi is very important to cook Japanese food e.g. Nikujaga, Miso soup, Okonomiyaki and so on.
If you buy Dashi at Asian supermarket in Germany, it costs around 6 euro for 100g.

2.Komi paste Chinese taste paste (picture: left bottom)
It is chicken broth.
Chinese taste paste is the one I actually wanted so badly.
I was using Chinese taste paste “Weighper” with red can that I got from Japan for a long time ago.
It got empty a while ago, that’s why I requested my friend to send it but she recommended an other product which is Komi paste.
When you cook Chinese food e.g. Mapo dofu, fried rice and so on, the Chinese paste can make the food tastier.
3.Instant Japanese curry (picture: right top)
I have not tried it before but Japanese curry is always nice.
The package says that even the curry is cold, it is still tasty.
I believe it.
To buy Japanese curry mix at Asian supermarket in Germany is expensive but these days, I buy it.
4.Noritama Furikake (picture: left top)
Furikake is popular and common to eat with rice.
It probably contains some chemical stuff, additives and preservatives but if you eat it sometimes, it is fine in my opinion.
Rice with Noritama is a great combination.
Japanese sweets
5.galbo strawberry chocolate (picture: right top)
Galbo strawberry chocolate is one of the best chocolate products in Japan.
The outside of the chocolate is coated with strawberry taste and the inside is airly chocolate.
I love it.
6.Pai no mi chocolate (picture: right bottom)
The outside of Pai no mi is puff pastry and there is chocolate in it.
It has been well known in Japan since 1979.
My friend sent me a new version of Pai no mi which says deep chocolate.
I am looking forward to eating it.
7.Pocky Gokuboso chocolate (picture: left)
Gokuboso means very thin.
I wrote about Pocky and Mikado (German version) here.
Japanese face sheet masks
Last year, my friend sent me a different face sheet mask.
This time, I got “Kome nuka” which is rice bran and “Nihon shu mask” which is Japanese Sake.
There are 7 sheets in a package.
I can imagine that my skin gets moisturized by using them.
Japanese fluffy warm items
I requested my friend to send me fluffy short pants because I could not find them in Germany.
When I wear one piece or skirt, I wear them inside to keep my hips warm.
It is nice to have it in this cold in Germany.
I am into the texture of the fluffy.
Japanese Origami “Shuriken”
It is cute.
My friend’s child made it 😀
I also sent a Christmas gift to my friend in Japan as below.
It took only 6 days to arrive in Japan from Germany, luckily.
The shipping cost is 22.35 euro for 2 kg.
I shopped at Kaufland, EDEKA, dm and Nanu-Nana in Germany.
I really miss Japan because I have not visited Japan for more than a year and 10 months.
In March, April or May, I hope I can visit Japan smoothly.
