How to make cute cat cookies

I don’t usually cook any sweet by myself but I wanted to arrange special handmade gift for Valentine’s Day.
That’s why I baked cute cat cookies.

I am not good at baking sweets but it is okay.
It is simple and easy to make cute cat cookies!

Cookies you make might be not perfect but it is no problem.
To cook original by yourself is the point.

*Cat cookies mean cookies with cat figure.

Many people are fun of cats in Japan as well as other countries.
There are a lot of cat cafe in Japan.
Cat cafe has around 10 cats and customers enjoy watching or playing with them.

I like both dogs and cats.

Here is the recipe how to cook cute cat cookies.

For around 30 pieces

Ingredients

Cake flour 230g
Egg 1
Butter 80g (room temperature)
Sugar 70g
Chocolate powder 10g
White sugar powder little 

1.Mix butter and sugar
2.Mix 1. and egg and then, mix cake flour
3.Add chocolate powder and mix
4.Make the dough one big piece and put plastic film and put into fridge for 1h
5.Prepare a paper and cut the figure of cat’s face parts (eyes, nose and mouth)
6.Make the dough thin about 5mm with wood  bar and cut out cat shapes with a cookie cutter or spoon
7.Make cat face on the pieces with white sugar powder and 5
8.Place on a cooking sheet and put into the oven with 170 degrees for 15mins

You can make normal dough and use chocolate powder for face parts as well.
I put cookies into plastic wrapping one by one and gave them to my colleagues at Valentine’s Day.

Valentine’s day in Japan is more common that women give gifts to men or friends who they like or love.
Chocolate is common as a gift.
There is a day called “White day” on 14th March.
At the day, men give gifts to people who gave you gifts on Valentine’s day.
I love European style because my boyfriend gives me flowers on Valentine’s day.

You can also make two kinds of dough and just put different color of dough for face parts as below.

I made bread cookies too.
Some animal cookies look like haveing allergy because of unexpected dot pattern but it is funny and tasty.

Bread cookies I made is one of my mascot “Paaaan“.
